colloquial The way in which one is thinking about something or dealing with something emotionally; one's mental or emotional status or condition. I just wish I knew where her head was at in relation to this whole situation, but she won't open up to me about anything. This all so sudden—I need a bit of time to get a sense of where my head is at before I make a decision.
