To stop working or thinking about important or difficult issues and simply relax. ("Veg," short for "vegetate," rhymes with "edge.") After such a tough week in work, all I want to do this weekend is veg out in front of the TV.
slang In a state of unthinking, sedentary relaxation. I don't want you spending the whole summer vegged out in front of the TV, so I signed you up for a number of different camps and activities. I always find my husband vegged out on the sofa when I come home from work.
