To use something in great quantities or very frequently. A: "Does Jimmy want any dinner with his ketchup?" B: "Oh, tell me about it. That kid uses ketchup as if it's going out of style." You guys are using the air conditioning as if it's going out of style—you wouldn't believe the electric bill I just got!
