For all time; forever and ever. Used to express the concept of eternity in Christian theology. A calque of the Koine Greek phrase e?? t??? a???a? t?? a????? (eis toús aiónas tón aiónon) that occurs in the original Greek text of the New Testament. Does the Orthodox church use "unto the ages of ages" in their prayers?
