turn over to (someone or something)

To yield or transfer custody or possession of someone or something to someone or something else. A noun or pronoun is used before or after "over." They decided to turn the criminal over to police. When I die, please turn over all of my money to charity. He turned the football over to the linebacker, who promptly scored a touchdown.
