To be eventually discovered or considered to be a certain type of person or thing in the end or over time. The tomb turned out to be the resting place of an Egyptian Pharaoh. He was so charming on our first date, but he turned out to be a real jerk. This project is turning out to be a huge pain in the butt for everyone on the team!
