1. Exceptionally pure, kindhearted, selfless, etc. A: "I can't believe that sweet baby girl is gone. Why would the universe allow such a precious child to get cancer?" B: "Maybe she was just too good for this world." You're too good for this world, Charlie Baker, you know that? I've never met someone so pure of heart as you.
2. So exemplary in some way as to be unworthy of most humans. Popularized by the satirical newspaper The Onion, which featured the headline, "Beautiful Cinnamon Roll Too Good for This World, Too Pure," in 2014. My sweet angel of a cat is too good for this world. While I work, she just lies next to me, purring, and makes occasional requests for pets. The actor, with his calm demeanor and complete disinterest in drawing attention to himself, is too good for this world. Other actors could certainly learn a thing or two from him.
