thud into (someone or something)

To collide with someone or something and cause a dull, heavy sound as a result of the impact. The boy went running around the corner and thudded into the principal. I slammed on the brakes of my bike, but I still thudded into the side of the van that had cut me off.

to bump into someone or something, making a dull noise on impact. The door blew open and thudded into Marie, giving her a bump on the knee. The ball thudded into the side of the house.
