Consider first classical, point-like particles falling in the black hole, crossing the singularity, and exiting through the white hole which appears after the singularity disappears.
More physically it can be treated as a continuous fall of black hole matter into the white hole generated universe with its generation rate given by
Upon exiting the white hole, the new universe's gravity could immediately slam us to the surface of our ship with forces similar to neutron stars.
Which came first, the wreck or the white hole, is a subject of debate.
But the white hole can serve as an analog because it shares an important feature with astrophysical black holes--an imaginary boundary that emits an unusual kind of radiation.
Our analogical argument will succeed if (i) the sample class includes all and only the Schwarzschild white hole singularities, (iii) we know of each of these singularities that it has a cause, and (iii) the set of the other relevant properties of the white hole singularities is more similar than different to the set of relevant properties of the big bang singularity.

When I first heard about this hypothetical phenomenon some years ago, I went outside one starry night, gazed up at the sky, and said, "Geez, look at all the white holes!"
