With regards to the person or thing just mentioned or being discussed. A: "We need to get the tires checked on the car soon." B: "Talking of cars, there is a great deal on second-hand cars at the dealership down the road." Talking of Mary, we need to fill out her application form soon.
talking of somebody/something (spoken, especially British English) used for saying that you intend to say more about somebody/something just mentioned: ‘I was out last night with Dave, Mark and Angela...’ ‘Talking of Mark, did he tell you about his latest business idea?’
