To talk so much as to cause one to be exhausted or bored. I love my Aunt Lily, but she'll talk your ear off if you let her! A: "How was your date?" B: "Eh, not great. She just talked my ears off about politics all night."

(especially American English, informal, especially disapproving) if somebody talks your ear off they talk to you a lot: That guy on the plane talked my ear off — I couldn’t wait to land!
