Any unspecified or unnamed person, place, thing, time, etc. Anyway, the landlady said that she would deal with it and such and such would call us later to confirm the details. I'm meeting them at such and such a time—seven o'clock, I think.

someone or something whose name has been forgotten or should not be said. Mary said that such and such was coming to her party, but I forgot their names. If you walk into a store and ask for such and such and they don't have it, you go to a different store.
