struggle through (something)

1. To move through something with great difficulty. We struggled through the dense underbrush of the jungle. I had to struggle through nearly four feet of snow to get to my neighbor's house.
2. To progress through some task or objective with a lot of difficulty. I really struggled through that last quiz. I'd better start studying a lot harder. I've been struggling through this book my wife bought me. I don't know if I'll end up finishing it or not.

to get through something in the best way possible. I am going to struggle through this dull book to the very end. The course was dull, but I struggled through.
