1. Used to express that someone or something is really excellent. No way, Star Wars rules! Star Trek is just silly by comparison. I think Jerry Seinfeld rules—his stand-up comedy is hilarious!
2. Used to express that someone or something is particularly dominant, especially in a certain area. I'm used to crispier, flatter pizza, but in this city, deep-dish pizza rules.
