To yell or shout something in a severe, caustic manner. A noun or pronoun can be used between "snap" and "out." You don't need to snap orders out at me like that. The student snapped out an answer after the teacher asked her for a third time.
1. To utter something abruptly or sharply: The sergeant snapped out a command. The coach snapped her orders out.
2. snap out of To recover suddenly from some mental state: Snap out of it! We have a job to do.
3. snap out of To rouse someone suddenly from some mental state: When he yelled, he snapped me out of my daydream. The magician snapped the audience volunteer out of the hypnotic state.
