shoot (one's) load

1. To lose or spend all of one's money or to use all of one's resources, especially too quickly and all at once. My Las Vegas trip was short lived—I shot my load at the poker table in the first two hours! It just felt like the film shot its load with that massive spectacle early on, because it never got as interesting again.
2. vulgar Of a man, to ejaculate semen during an orgasm. Please stop talking about shooting your load. I don't want that image.
