1. adjective Total; utter. I felt like a right idiot after getting my test results back. I can't believe what she said. She can be a right jerk sometimes. This is a right mess you've gotten us into.
2. adverb Very; extremely. That was a right pretty speech my opponent just gave, but it doesn't tell the whole truth. Well, that was a right silly thing to do, don't you think?

People who have more conservative or traditionalist views on political or social issues, viewed collectively. I'm generally opposed to universal healthcare and tax increases on the wealthy. I guess that puts me on the Right. I don't see anyone on the Right agreeing to this extremely progressive bill the Democrats are pushing.
