2. To continue not to exceed some fixed limits or parameters. Thankfully the radiation levels inside of the power plant remained within acceptable levels throughout the earthquake. 3. To continue not to break or go outside of the scope of something. I want to see justice done as much as anyone, but we must remain within the law to do it! We'll have to remain within the terms of this treaty if we want to continue getting foreign aid.
