rank among (someone or something)
1. To be considered a part of some particular group of people or things, especially the best, worst, or some other superlative. Their latest device ranks among the most advanced consumer technology available. They have got to rank among the worst customer service I've ever had to deal with before.
2. To consider someone or something to belong to or be a part of some particular group of people or things, especially the best, worst, or some other superlative. In this usage, a noun or pronoun is used between "rank" and "among." I'd have to rank this among the most delicious pizza I've ever eaten. I hope you know that I rank you among my very best friends.

rank among something
to be included in a particular group. In my opinion, Kelly ranks among the very best. Tom ranks among the most widely known of the contemporary writers.
