1. To run so quickly, intensely, or for such a long period of time that one is exhausted or has very sore feet. I positively ran my feet off doing that marathon! I know it was only 5 kilometers, but I feel as though I ran my feet off!
2. To be extremely busy with a lot of different tasks, especially to an exhausting or exasperating degree. I've been running my feet off all day getting everything we need for the trip. The entire team has been running their feet off to make sure the guests have everything they need.
3. To make one work very hard, quickly, or for a long period of time, especially to an exhausting or exasperating degree; to make great demands of one's time or energy. With the recent reductions in staff, my boss has been running my feet off lately! Just about every parent on the planet knows how young kids can run your feet off.
