M2 EQUITYBITES-April 7, 2015-Bankrate acquires Quizzle from Quicken Loans
(NYSE: RATE) said it has acquired Quizzle, Quicken Loan's Detroit-based national free credit report and monitoring site.
Bankrate president and chief executive officer Kenneth Esterow said, "The acquisition of Quizzle is a next step in our long-term strategy to establish an ongoing relationship with our massive audience."
As part of the acquisition, Bankrate expects to retain Quizzle's technology platform, vendor relationships and over two million accounts.
Quizzle.com is to remain headquartered in Detroit, where it plans to focus on working with other Bankrate companies to help consumers master life's important decisions.

CreditKarma.com, CreditSesame.com and Quizzle.com offer free scores along with free credit reports, which are a detailed list of any outstanding or past debts or any missed payments.
Quizzle.com comes up with its score based on a customer's Equifax report; CreditSesame.com uses Experian; and, CreditKarma.com uses both Equifax and TransUnion.
There are many companies that provide FAKO or estimated credit scores such as Freecreditreport.com, freescore.com, truecredit.com, creditkarma.com, Equifax Credit Complete, Quizzle
.com, MSN Money Credit Calculator, to name a few.
Families can take up the challenge of the Quizzle
trail, which will involve them solving puzzling clues all around the historic site.
