1. Of liquid, to flow, stream, or gush forward or outward in great volume or at great speed. The crack in the dam could not withstand the pressure, and a huge deluge of water poured forth from the crevice that formed as a result. He shook the bottle of champagne and popped the cork, causing a great spray of foam to pour forth.
2. Of people, to throng and exit out (of something or some place) in great numbers all at once. Students poured forth from the school the moment the final bell rang before the summer vacation. I opened the doors, and the hostages that had been trapped inside poured forth.
