poke (one's) eyes out
To cause oneself great physical harm, as if by gouging out one's eyes. Used hyperbolically to underscore one's disdain or disgust for something. Thanks, but I'd rather poke my eyes out than go to the dance with you. Of course I know where babies come from. And I want to poke my eyes out at the thought of my parents doing that to make me!
