1. To steal something, especially something small in size or amount, on behalf of someone else. A noun or pronoun is used between "pinch" and "for." See if you can pinch a chocolate bar for me while you're in the gas station.
2. To arrest someone for committing some crime. A noun or pronoun is used between "pinch" and "for." They pinched him for stealing cigarettes from the convenience store.
