person up(redirected from persons out)
To display unemotional strength, resolve, and responsibility, especially when forced to deal with or confront something. A gender-neutral alternative to "man up." Usually used as an imperative. If you know an employee is not working out, then you need to person up and tell them they've got to shape up or ship out.
