slang Concrete poured over a dead body, as to hide or dispose of it. Used primarily in films and literature describing the activities of gangsters. I gave that stool pigeon a concrete overcoat, boss—he won't be talking to the police ever again.
pine overcoat
slang A coffin. You're going to end up in a pine overcoat if you keep driving so recklessly! Don't worry, boss. That stool pigeon will be in a pine overcoat before he ever makes it to court.
put on a/the wooden overcoat
dated slang To die. ("Wooden overcoat" refers to a coffin.) After he retired, he said he wanted to spend his time and money traveling the world before he put on the wooden overcoat. She'll be putting on a wooden overcoat soon if she doesn't start changing her diet and lifestyle.
