1. Used sarcastically to indicate that someone else is coming across as very tedious, humorless, pedantic, or otherwise insufferable. A: "I don't understand what you mean. Your punchline makes no sense." B: "I imagine you're no fun at parties. Lighten up, dude, it was just a joke."
2. Used in a humorous or self-deprecating manner when one knows that they are coming across as dull, pedantic, etc. I have a degree in Latin. Give me a word, and I'll give you its derivational roots. Wow, I guess the rumors are true—I'm no fun at parties.
