Don't be worried; be confident (that something will happen). Often used as a clichéd saying for crimefighters and superheroes in comics, books, and movies. Never fear, the capacitors will withstand the surge in power. We'll get to the airport on time, never fear. Never fear, citizen—Super Guy is here!

Don't worry that a thing will or won't occur, be confident, as in I'll get there, never fear. This phrase was used by Christopher Marlowe in Doctor Faustus (c. 1590): "'Tis but a surfeit; never fear, man."
