make nice-nice

To be nice, pleasant, or polite to someone, even if one does not feel inclined to do so. I know you don't care for your cousin, but this is the one time of year we all get the chance to be together, so just make nice-nice, OK? We'll make nice-nice with police as soon as they stop targeting our community for no good reason.
