make time for (someone or something)
make time for (someone or something)
To allot time in one's schedule for a particular activity or to spend time with a particular person, especially when one has to cancel, postpone, or move other activities to other times. Dad had a hectic work schedule when we were kids, but he always made time for us. Having two young kids really makes it hard to make time for exercise.
