1. To make one feel very dazed, bewildered, or shocked. He was so overwhelmed with information on his first day on the job that it was making his head swim. Looking at all the legal mumbo jumbo in these contracts always makes my head swim.
2. To cause one to feel lightheaded, dizzy, or delirious. The fumes from these cleaning products are making my head swim. Tall heights make my head swim, so I try to avoid them as much as possible.
