live out (the rest of) (one's) days
To spend the remaining portion of one's life (doing something or being some place). Honestly, I'd love to retire by the water some place and live out the rest of my days fixing up old boats. My grandmother always said she would live out her days in South America if she could.
live out one's daysand live out one's life
to live for the remainder of one's life. (Usually with some reference to a place.) Where do you plan to live out your days? I will live out my life in sunny Florida.
