1. Let's abandon or get rid of someone or something. Let's just dump the pretenses and tell each other where we stand. I want this to be a smooth, efficient machine, so let's dump anyone who isn't giving it their absolute all.
2. Let's drop or discard of someone or something (some place). Let's dump our backpacks at my house and then head out on our bikes to the mall. We need some time to ourselves, so let's dump the kids with your mom for a few hours tomorrow.
