lefty loosey, righty tighty

A mnemonic used to remember the correct direction to rotate something along threads in order to loosen or tighten it, such as screws, lids of jars, or nuts along bolts. ("Left" means counter-clockwise rotation, "right" means clockwise rotation.) No, no, you're turning the screwdriver the wrong way. Lefty loosey, righty tighty!
