kvetch

1. verb, slang To complain. From Yiddish. I thought our staff night out was going to be a break from the office politics, but everyone just kvetched about work the whole night anyway. I'm sorry for kvetching like that. It's been a trying week, and I needed to get it off my chest.
2. noun, slang Someone who tends to complain excessively. He's very talented, but he can be a bit of a kvetch when things get too stressful. We're supposed to be on a relaxing vacation, Sarah. Stop being such a kvetch and enjoy yourself!
