keep at it

To continue trying to do or achieve something, especially after initial failures or setbacks. Often used an imperative. If you really want to become a comic book artist, you have to keep at it! You can't just give up after your first rejection.

Keep doing what you are doing!; Keep trying! (Said as encouragement to keep working at something.) The boss told me to keep at it every time he passed my desk. Keep at it, Tom! You can do it!
