1. To jump from place to place. The kids loved watching all the bunnies jumping about in the field.
2. To move around in a frenetic or fidgety manner. Tommy, stop jumping about like that while I'm trying to brush your teeth!
3. To shift focus erratically or haphazardly to different places within something, such as a piece of media. I know it seems like we're jumping about in the book, but it's important to compare these three different passages to understand the main character's motivations. He kept jumping about during the meeting, discussing things completely out of order. The film jumps about in time, playing with and ultimately subverting the audience's expectations.
