1. To fit into a small or tight space, especially with force or difficulty. We all jammed in Tom's tiny little van.
2. To cram or force someone or something into a particular space or container. In this usage, a noun or pronoun can be used between "jam" and "in." How many people can we jam in the conference room? Quit jamming more stuff in—the suitcase is full!
3. To drive or wedge something forcibly into a tight space between or inside of something. In this usage, a noun or pronoun can be used between "jam" and "in." Someone obviously jammed this screwdriver in the gears of the machine on purpose. I found a crack and jammed in my foot, using it to hoist myself up onto the top of the wall.
