1. A spree or period of overindulgence in some activity. Used in combinations. After a stressful week at work, there's nothing I like better than going on a shopping jag. He's been on a crying jag ever since his girlfriend broke up with him.
2. A prolonged period of intoxication from drugs or alcohol; a binge or bender. A: "Want to go for a beer tonight?" B: "No, I've been on a jag all weekend. I need to take a break from the booze."
3. A shortening of "Jaguar," a brand of luxury cars. Often capitalized in this usage. He takes better care of his Jag than he does of his own kids! As soon as she got the promotion, she immediately went out and bought herself a Jag.
