1. A tag question asked rhetorically to elicit agreement from another person. John is going to study law at Harvard. Isn't that so, sweetie? But you thought you could just take the money and I wouldn't notice. Isn't that so?
2. Used rhetorically to introduce and emphasize something that one feels is true. John and I both left home after high school, only to end up living right next to each other 15 years later—and in Tokyo of all places! Isn't that so funny? Your sister's band is going to be performing on live television! Isn't that so exciting?
