Having a very good chance or likelihood of succeeding or doing something. Used especially in reference to sports. The former champions' stunning defeat has blown the league wide open, and a number of previous dark horse teams are now in with a shout for the championship match. Thanks to Jefferey's late goal, his team is still in with a shout with just minutes left to go.
