Used to emphasize the importance of something or highlight that it is the truest or most ideal, perfect, or suitable example of the thing being discussed. Often followed by "one" if used at the end of a sentence or by "this is it" if used at the beginning of a sentence. I've been hearing a lot of rumors about a round of layoffs on the horizon. If ever there was a time to be looking for a new job, this is it. Now that was an exciting hockey game if ever there was one!
