1. To convince or persuade someone into temporarily believing an untruth; to fool someone, especially briefly. Man, you really had me going there with that fake winning lottery ticket!
2. To arouse, excite, or upset someone, usually for a brief period of time. Seeing that model in his underwear really had me going! That rumor that the company was dissolving had me going for a while, but it looks like our jobs are safe for the moment.
