have (one's) fill

1. To eat or drink as much (of something) as one desires or is able to. Make sure you have your fill of cake—we made plenty for everyone! Janet: "Would you like any more of this curry?" Mark: "No thank you, I've had my fill."
2. To experience or deal with (someone or something) as much as one is able or willing. I've just about had my fill of people giving me advice about my love life. He's so loud, brash, and overbearing. I had my fill of him after 10 minutes.

COMMON If you have had your fill of something, you have had as much of it as you can bear, and do not want any more. I've had my fill of office politics over the years. They have had their fill of war, poverty, and repression.
