Known for an extravagant approach to their performances on stage, The Groanbox Boys play a variety of instruments including guitar, banjo, accordion and percussion alongside less well-known ones such as the ghungroo (Indian ankle bells) and the self-made Freedom Boot.
In high demand, The Groanbox Boys have worked with the likes of cellist Yo-Yo Ma and Francis Ford Coppola on the soundtrack to his 2007 film, Youth Without Youth and have played prestigious venues such as the Sydney Opera House.
