To seize or snatch someone or something from someone or something else. A noun or pronoun can be used between "grab" and "away." I grabbed my report card away from my sister before she could show it to Mom.

to snatch someone or something away from someone or something. Harry's aunt grabbed the dirty candy away from him before he got it in his mouth. I grabbed away the meat from the dog.
