To cause one to start enthusiastically discussing some topic. Don't get Grandpa started—unless, of course, you want to hear about the "Farmers' Almanac" all night. A: "OK, why exactly are you mad at Dante?" B: "Oh, don't get me started! He's a real creep, I'll tell you that much."
