get down with (someone or something)

1. To accept, agree with, or be in support of someone or something. Usually used after "can" or "could." I just couldn't get down with the way they were running the company, so I quit. So far he's the only politician I can get down with.
2. To be on friendly terms with or enjoy the company of somebody. Usually used after "can" or "could." I've never really gotten down with my coworkers outside of the workplace. John has always seemed like someone I could get down with.
3. To dance with someone, especially in an energetic and sexually suggestive manner. I had just started getting down with this really attractive guy on the dance floor when the fire alarm suddenly went off.
