1. To become crazy or irrational. He's gone out of his head if he thinks this plan is going to work! After yet another sleepless night, I'm starting to feel like I'm going out of my head.
2. To become not fully conscious or coherent in thought. I always go a little out of my head whenever I take these new painkillers the doctor prescribed. He drank so many shots of tequila that he had gone completely out of his head by the end of the night.
3. To be forgotten or disregarded by one. I'm so sorry for missing our appointment. It completely went out of my head this morning! I could tell my suggestion had gone out of his head by the end of the meeting.
