Used to preface something surprising or interesting, typically as an imperative.
1. Come have a look at this. Hey, guys! Get a load of this—someone graffitied the principal's car! Tim thinks he has first place in the science fair all wrapped up, but just wait till the judges get a load of this!
2. Listen to what I'm about to say. A: "Anything interesting in the news today, Pops?" B: "Yeah, get a load of this—someone in the next town over won the lottery last week!"
